Are MP3 / WMA viable alternatives to CD?
Sound servers are fast becoming the most popular method of storing all your music. Although purists would be horrified, the audio quality is now extremely good. And the ease of use these units provide make them the best choice for multi-room installations.
I want all of my music available in every room in my house, but I'm renting. Are there any wireless solutions for multi-room audio?
Until recently, the answer was a definate NO. The systems were plagued with issues that the manufacturers chose to ignore. Recently released products have now developed 'mesh' networks that make wireless multi-room systems ultra user-friendly, and ultra reliable.
What surround setup is better, 5.1, 6.1 or 7.1?
The best surround setup is completely dependant on the room it's going into. We find that most home theater's aren't large enough for a 7.1 system, and most don't have enough room for a centre-rear speaker behind the seating position to suit 6.1. We also believe a properly setup 5.1 system will sound better than you would ever imagine.
Why do digital TV channels lose their picture/audio?
Digital TV broadcasters are constantly tweaking their systems, sometimes the TV or STB (Set Top Box) may not keep up with the changes. All that is needed is to do a channel re-scan.
